Delta Dogs

Welcome to Delta Dogs, a unique program located at the Delta Correctional Facility in Greenwood, Mississippi. We are a women’s prison pitbull dog training program that provides a second chance for both dogs and inmates. Our mission is to rehabilitate and socialize pitbulls that have been abandoned, abused, or neglected, while also offering inmates an opportunity to develop valuable skills and gain a sense of purpose.

Our program is led by experienced dog trainers who work closely with the inmates to train and care for the dogs. The dogs receive obedience training, socialization, and medical care, while the inmates learn valuable skills in animal care, behavior, and training. The women who participate in our program also gain a sense of pride and accomplishment from helping these dogs, which often leads to positive changes in their own lives.

Delta Dogs is more than just a training program – it is a community that supports both the dogs and the women who care for them.
